BOO!!    Plan to get scared this weekend at Skydive Chicago's Annual Halloween Boogie!!! Come out and enjoy one of our favorite holidays and one of the last few nice weekends of the season. Temperatures are supposed to reach the 60's this weekend and I've just got a feeling it's gonna be wonderful!! Did I mention how much we have going on this weekend?

1)   $20 jumps!!   That's right everyone...you've all seen how our gas prices are going down...and with it, your fun jumps!!! $20 jumps for all fun jumpers this  Saturday and Sunday.

2)    Pumpkin Drop!!!   We will be hosting a pumpkin drop on Saturday. That means, we will be taking "'da Misser" (the 182 for those who don't know) up a couple hundered feet and then you can drop your pumpkin onto the pea gravel pit. Winner is the one who has the best aim!!! Your $20 ticket will include a ride to altitude and a pumpkin that you can design as you wish. $5 of evey entry will go to a prize pot...meaning the more who enter, the more the winnings!!! We do need to have everyone signed up by noon on Saturday so we can start sending loads shortly after.

3)    Scavenger Hunt   This is our annual scavenger hunt. We will send you all over the property searching for clues to find the big treasure. Teams consist of 4 members and we need everyone registered 4:00 pm. The hunt will start promptly at 5 pm to allow for daylight. The treasure chest will be won by one team only and is chock-full of prizes.

4)    Costume Contest   Come dressed to the party Saturday night in your best costume. We will have a contest starting at 9 pm, so if you think you have a good one this year, make sure to be there by 9. Prizes will be givin for 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place winners. Judging will be done by all of your friends.

5)    And Finally....The Halloween Party!!!   After a day of jumping and dropping and scavenging....time to party!! Come join us upstairs in the SkyLounge. Allen and Nicole will be cooking up some of their delicious chili and soups for $5 a bowl. There will also be snacks and other things to munch on. If anyone is getting that cabin fever and wants to bring there own dish to serve...pot lucks are always enjoyable!!! We will have music, games and all around gleefulness upstairs...so be sure not to miss it!!

We look forward to seeing you all out here this weekend. Take advantage of the weather and cheap(er) gas prices and get it on down to SDC!!!!

Hasta this weekend!!

Whitney

I just want to say thanks to everyone at Skydive Chicago (Staff, Rook, and all the jumpers) for making the Halloween weekend at the DZ "THE" place to be!! Where else can you skydive, "Toss" pumpkins, go on a treasure hunt spread out on 230 acres, and attend one of the best halloween bashes around with prizes for the top three costumes. I havent seen that many people in the skylounge in a long time, not to mention dressed up in costume. There was also great food and snacks and the place was decked out in halloween decor. Becky and I spent the night and jumped on sunday too ...what a great weekend I had a blast, thanks again.

Thanks to everyone for the great Halloween boogie. Had fun dropping pumpkins, hiding the treasure and dressing up. It was even nicer that is was 70 degrees out! Looking forward to the Christmas Party (Dec. 6).

Since the pumpkin drop was so much fun, can we have a turkey drop for thanksgiving?
