Once again, a great experience at Skydive Chicago! Jeff Brown was my TI, and Kenny Jaworski did my video. I don't know how these guys do it..there were a TON of tandems that day. I got there way early, just to watch all the fun. I don't think Kenny walked from one place to another all day..constantly on the run. Thanks for getting on my video-it made the day perfect!
I was a little unhappy with myself that I forgot everything the first time. I told Jeff I couldn't let it go at that, and he spent time with me, and we got it done more or less right this time. I did forget to wave off Kenny, but Jeff had me covered. I pulled, got to do some steering, and I'm not sure if I was helping on the landing or not. We did a big long slip-n-slide landing and ended up facing back the way we came. I had the most spectacular grass stain ever  Go figure, the one stain that came out in the wash-that was supposed to be my badge of honor.
Deegan, it was such a happy surprise to see you there again, and get a big ol' MD hug! Nick was there, too-he's the one who told me about the place. It was like old home week.
I'm still not sure if I'll ever go solo. Apparently altitude awareness is important in skydiving  and I wasn't too good about that. I'll be back for another tandem, and let my gut and my confidence level take me where they will.
