Looks like Mother Nature is in a happier mood with the great weather this past week.

After the massive flooding last week we were blessed with great temps and light winds perfect for jumping.

Thursday I wanted to thank the staff for all the hard work they have done. We loaded up on the River Adventures bus and headed over to Prime Quarter. Prime Quarter is a unique steak house in Princeton where you get to grill your own food on massive grills. They offer a 40 oz. steak called the BeefEater! If you are able to finish the steak, potato, texas toast and salad in under an hour you get a free meal. Congratulations to Enzo, Rob, Chad, and Brad for being true Americans!! With our bellies full we attacked what was to become a 2008 record for SDC.

Friday we offered $125 all you could jump. A handful of people came out to take advantage of the deal. 16 loads went up and some jumpers ended up paying only $7.80 per jump!!

Thanks to Keith Nugent, Bob, and Holly who helped organize the new wave boogie. We have a lot of new jumpers coming into the sport and this was a great event to help them expand their skills. In addition, I hosted a Freefly Seminar Friday night after jumping. There were about 40 people in attendance. It was cool to see the energy of new jumpers that wanted to learn.

What does 16 tandem masters, 6 packers, 5 manifestors, 2 hanger masters, and 2 pilots get you? A 2008 single day record of 211 tandems!! Not to mention Biff, Frank, and Troy who cranked out 25 AFP jumps! Kirk cranked out 36 loads in N10EA. This machine is truly a home sick angel. Dave wasn’t slacking either with 23 loads in 30EA. This truly has been a great season.

Thanks to the Mad City Skydivers who came down Saturday for their fall Leap Fest. River Adventures came in to save the day again with there buses. I am truly blessed to be surrounded by such great people!
Mandrin and the Furies were in town training. With Nationals a month away it certainly is crunch time. Mandrin’s next camp is only two weeks out.

Lady Luck became a star again Friday. Rock bank Fickle Lot shot a music video with her in the background. They filmed all night till just after sunrise. True Rock Stars!!

We have three people enrolled in AFP in a week so the Otter will be flying everyday. Summer is officially over and we all know what’s coming.
