My heart goes out to all the victims in the path of Ike.   Ike has made an impact all around the country, and even in Ottawa.

This week we started off saying goodbye to SDC local Hector.  I met Hector in Mexico almost 6 years ago!  Hector has made SDC his summertime home and he is moving on to another project.

To celebrate we took the SDC bus to Fogo De Chao in Chicago and chowed down!!

Well it wasn’t too long after the trip that the rain started.  Unfortunately, it wasn’t the best weather for the Democratic Party’s rally, and they ended up moving inside after the first act. The facility truly is great when you can have a plan B.  The event drew in acts such as Chicago Blues Legend Eddie Clearwater and Corky Siegal.  They certainly stole the show with their great blues.  It was cool to have such legends playing at SDC.   Thanks to all the workers that helped make this event happen.

Thanks to TJ and Roger Ponce who came out to rainfest 08.  Look for future 2009 events with Roger including a 100 way during Summerfest. 

I should have known when we rescheduled the High Altitude jumps that it was going to rain!!  

Don’t forget to help support your local team by jumping this Friday.  $125 all you can jump on Friday.  That’s $12.50 a jump if you do ten!   This is for experienced jumpers only and you cannot double manifest.  That night I will be hosting a Freefly Seminar in the SkyLounge at sunset.  I will cover everything from just beginning to VRW.  There is no charge for this seminar.
