Hi, It would be great if you could change your facebook long URL "http://www.facebook.com/pages/Skydive-Chicago/61840714454" to nice short and easy to remember http://www.facebook.com/SkydiveChicago To do so, one of "SkydiveChicago" admins need to logon under his/her credentials and then siwth to "SkydiveChicago" page (In Right Top corner) Account > Use Facebook as a Page > Siwthc > Skydive Chicago Then got to "Info" (left menu under skydivechicago image), and select "Edit Image", then change "Username", change it to "SkydiveChicago" After this you will see line like this: You can now direct people to www.facebook.com/SkydiveChicago Please keep in mid that this short URL has a huge value, it is indexed on FaceBook in a different manner, and it give better searc resolts not only on facebook, but on "bing.com". "google.com" and so on. A few DZ are trying to claim search for "skydiving" or "Skydive Chicago" in Chicago city, and "Skydive Chicago" is not on the first place in search engines. I live in downtown Chicago and in most cases search will go to other DZ (you knwo what I am talking about).... Btw, aslo keep in mind that after changing the Username on FaceBook to "SkydiveChicago" you will need to change URL in some places on http://www.SkydiveChicago.com website - all thiese "Like" facebook icons, and links need to be corrected to short URL Sincerely, Rei.

Then next good thing to do woudl be to link www.SkydiveChicago.com usernames to FaceBook usernames. Appropriate plug-in need to be installed and then users will be able to logon nto SkydiveChicago website (forums, etc) with their facebook account.. As of now, and as an example, everytime i need to logon into SkydiveChicago - i am re-trying my username and password a few times - probably i am too old to remember all my usernames and password (one username and 3 different passwords i use :) but i alwasy have an issue with logon into Skydive Chicago site. I may think that I amnot the only one... :) "Diffucult to guess" password policies actually do not make any good for the sites as people have diffuculties to remember their passwowrds and they give up on these sites.... Who use now MySpace??? About 10,000,000 users left MySpace only in last few momths switching yo FaceBook :) There is always a competition in cyberspace (same as in real bussiness) :)

Forgot to mention one very important thing: You dont really need to make any changes on "www.SkydiveChicago.com" website, as the original old "long URL" will be automatically redirected to "short" personilized url by FaceBook website engine. "http://www.facebook.com/pages/Skydive-Chicago/61840714454" will be redirected to "http://www.facebook.com/SkydiveChicago" So all what really needs to be done - get your ""http://www.facebook.com/SkydiveChicago" (before it will be takedn by someone else in Chicago :) (and then it woud be not good for the bussiness) Rei (AV)

:) and as I have already started (ther is a perfect weather outside and no jumpers, and it is almost 11Am on Sunday morining :) It would be nice to have right on the front page of www.SkydiveChiago.com the url to our local weather http://www.usairnet.com/cgi-bin/launch/code.cgi?Submit=Go&sta=KVYS&state=IL Similar to what Skydiev The Ranch in NY have - http://www.theblueskyranch.com/ There is a picture and url to their local air sports net - Check the Weather :) Sincerely, Rei
