Skydive Chicago is the coolest and one of the safest places to make a skydive. Our airport is just that, our airport. We dont have any commercial air traffic to contend with, which may present another added safety feature to worry about. Our landing area is huge and there are hundreds of acres of "outs." Our planes are two twin otters that carry 23 skydivers, so you can jump with all your friends. Our planes are maintained to the highest standards, our student gear is new, and also, always updated. The gear is maintained by Para-concepts with Master Rigger Kirk Smith overlooking the whole process. Our tandem masters are extremely knowledgable, fun, and will taylor your jump to fit you. Dropzone owner Rook Nelson keeps the fun going with canoe trips on the river in our backyard by River adventures, horseback riding through our property (which has small rolling hills and valleys and nicely wooded areas) swimming in our resort style pond (which has three decks with about 3000 square feet of tanning/fun area) our Tiki hut Bar on the pond (which also serves great food by geniez cafe), Sand volleyball, parties, professional fireworks shows twice a year, bands and all sorts of entertainment, full service campground, rentable cabins (or when skydiving you can pitch a tent), showerhouse/pavillion, all sorts of jumpable aircraft flown in for special occasions and did I mention skydiving??? This place is an ADULT PLAYGROUND. Make sure you come out and check out all that SDC has to offer. Come out, and when you're home thinking about the great time you had, log onto this site right here where I am typing right now, and let us know what you think. Come on out and take advantage of what we have to offer. Blue Skies to all |

I experienced my first jump this past Friday, June 20th. I couldn't have asked for a better experience and would like to thank everyone at SDC. Billy (Tandem Master) and Jenny (videographer) really did a great job to make my 40th birthday a memorable one. I will definitely be back for more. I've been quickly spreading the word among my friends and of course showing off the video and photos, so that next time we can have a whole group of folks experience what I did. Thanks again. You will definitely see me again. |

| Hey All, when you post a message about your awesome time at Skydive Chicago make sure you type your name in so we know who you are. Remember, all you need to do is two tandems and then after a 4.5 hour class you can jump with one of our student parachutes on your own back!! A certified instructor will jump with you and will not let go until your parachute opens and pulls you out of his hands. Your instructor will then land before you and talk you down via radio. This all gets video recorded. After you get the hang of skydiving and landing on your own you will rely less and less on your instructor. He will be there for at least 17 jumps, where you will learn to do backflips, barrel rolls, spins, tracking forward and back and other maneuvers along with canopy control and landing. Then you take a quick written test (kind of like the drivers license test) and you are then "A" licensed and able to jump almost anywhere in the world. This can take quite a while to accomplish at other dropzones when you consider weather and time constraints. At Skydive Chicago we can get you "A" licensed in a week. You just hang out here at the dropzone (kind of like a vacation) for a week and we'll train you. We also do licenses at your own pace, you dont have to do the week program. Where else can you blast around in the sky as your classroom requirement. I heard a friend say several years ago "Lets go through the program and become skydivers" I said in return "you cant just BECOME a skydiver." Well she proved me wrong and here I am today you really can just become a skydiver!! |

| I experienced my first jump July 12, 2008 (July Birthday). I went with my brother and a few friends. Life changing experience. The rush and the views are spectacular. Enzo is the best Tandem Master and Jenny did an excellent job on my video. Everyone at Skydive Chicago acts in a professional manner while on the clock and I love that they let loose with everyone and show us all a good time after hours. They make you feel welcome and are truly happy you are there to share a skydiving experience. It was so much fun I came back out August 2, 2008 for Summerfest and jumped again. The second jump was way cooler than the first, as I was much more relaxed and not posing for a camera. Once again Enzo showed me a lot of instructions. I can't wait to go back again. The camping & swimming is great. Be prepared to take a cold shower though. See Ya Soon!! Connie Zych, Bradley, IL |

Hey all tandem students,
To every single one of you who came out to jump with us, Thank you!!! I also want to say there is still plenty of time and great weather to come out and get a jump in before the end of the season. We jump right up into december but dont wait that long, come out now while the temps are still up. If you're doing your first jump, hurry up and get out here. If you're on your second jump, what are you waiting for...you already know what you're missing. After your jump, log into this site, create your own name and password and let us know what you thought of your jump. Sign up for the weekly updates and you continue being a part of the skydiving family. Scott Ayer |

Hey First and second time jumpers!! Remember to include your name in your e-mails. We want to know who you are and it's impossible to tell from some of your e- names. Make sure you read the experiences from other first time jumpers but let me make this clear, you cant put this experience into words...you just have to do it for yourself. This was a great season at Skydive Chicago, we almost tripled the amount of new friends that did their first and second jumps with us as compared to last year. The word is out, through print and television ads and from the amount of all of you coming out to jump, that skydiving is more popular than ever!!! You dont have to be a Kennedy or a Rockefeller or even a Kardashian to skydive, Everyone can do it!!! Not much time left in this season so plan for a trip to Ottawa illinois and we'll see you soon. | I just had my first jump yesterday with Tadek (most AMAZING instructor there is, especially for a first time jumper) and Frank for my video. Both were great. Everyone at Skydive Chicago was incredible. One of the very best experiences of my life. I can't wait to go back next year!! |
