SDC is back to 100% with the return of N10EA the ‘rocket Otter.’ It couldn’t have come at a better time, as we needed the lift capacity this past weekend.
With the return of 10 we welcomed back Dave and Karry from Sebastian. Of course the weather wasn’t looking the best and Dave had quite the flight home. They showed up in style and were treated to a BBQ.

With the return of both Otters, Jerry took the Caravan down to Sebastian. Right now in Sebastian they are filming a new 3D IMAX movie. The movie that should be out next summer is called Human Flight. Both the Otter and Caravan will certainly have cameos!
SDC Rhythm and Standard were training this past Friday and many people took advantage of $16 jumps. Follow us on Twitter or Facebook and be the first to know about discounted jumps.

SDC Furies hosted a new wave Boogie this past weekend. A few jumpers participated in getting some 1-on-1 coaching. The jumps are video taped and debriefed. With all the great events happening at SDC the talent level is certainly rising. Maybe one day we will do a 100-way with all SDC graduates! Thanks Furies!
We now have the GO PROs running 100% in the AFP program. We have replaced all the TVs with computers. It’s amazing to see how much the AFP program has evolved with cutting edge training and technology.

The tandem arena was again in full swing. Over 100 tandems again by 4:30 pm. The whole Tandem team is really working great this year. I truly have a great staff and SDC wouldn’t be possible without them.
Coming up this weekend are Freefly World Record tryouts. The event is open to anyone but you must be able to take controlled docks on your head. Please be honest with your ability for everyone’s safety. Meet in the auditorium at 9 am on Saturday.

Following is a post from Rhythm:
SDC Rhythm XP training has been going well. Thank you to everyone that helps to keep us going -- packers, manifest, Para-Concepts, Eat Up, other jumpers, and the rest of our encouraging SDC family! We're training many long weekends now through October, so come out and join us for lots of loads on Fridays. Also, don't forget coffee and stretching in the morning to help you get ready for first load. All are welcome!

Downtown Chicago Bar Night, June 17th, 7pm: We're hosting another bar night at Gamekeepers Tavern & Grill at 345 W. Armitage to help spread the word about skydiving. These events keep growing and growing -- join us and bring friends! Contact steve@rhythmskydiving.com for more details.
MWSL Meet #1 June 20th: The first MWSL meet will be June 20th at Skydive Chicago. Rhythm will be coaching for the meet. Because of the structure of the meet, coaching available, and multiple classes of competition, MWSL meets are a great way for skydivers of ANY level to get an introduction to 4 way and have fun. Don't worry about whether or not you've practiced -- put together a pick-up team and join the fun. If you're interested in competing but don't have a team or have a team but are short a few team members, let us know and we can help put people together. Also we'll be training at SDC all day June 19th before the meet, so get your team to come out Friday and get some last minute training in.

Team for a Day #4, June 27th & 28th: Our fourth team for a day is coming up soon. This is the last Team for a Day until October so sign up now! We are already filling up and have groups of all experience levels forming on both days. We can also accommodate an 8 way TFAD on one of the days if there's interest. Sign up with janette@rhythmskydiving.com for one or both days. More details here: http://www.rhythmskydiving.com/events_coaching.html
Don’t forget to vote for the sunset of the month by clicking HERE. Votes must be in by June 15th.

RW Organizing with Todd & Lisa is happening this weekend:
Join us for RW organizing on Saturday, June 13th and Sunday, June 14th!!! Our goal is to improve and accelerate your RW skills, focusing on small groups. The purpose is learning and working on basic RW skills. This includes exits, diving toward a formation, working on fall rate, grip techniques, eye contact, referencing, and tracking. Our target audience is AFP grads to intermediate RW jumpers, but all skill levels are welcome to join us! There is no registration fee. You are only responsible for your jump ticket (and, packing, if you choose). There is no sign-up required. Just look for us over by the red mats at 9am each day. If you have any questions, you can contact us thru Facebook (Lisa DeSimone); or, SDC Forums; or, email us at zaats@sbcglobal.net.

Join the campfire organization this weekend for the annual pancake breakfast. All the money collected is donated to the organization to help kids. They will be serving on the north side of the main hanger, or just follow the smell!
Sunday also was the 6-year of FB#2 passing. Thanks for all the calls, emails, and messages.
